NORFOLK | A woman has been arrested on first-degree murder and other charges related to a July mob beating in East Ocean View that left one man dead and two others injured.
Natasha O. Buie, 20, was indicted on the charges in January and had been a fugitive. She was arrested March 14.
She is one of 10 people charged in the death of James Robertson, 19, who was attacked along with two friends in the 9500 block of 16th Bay St. on July 27. The men were beaten, stripped and robbed. Robertson’s friends escaped. The attackers stomped on Robertson’s head and body, causing fatal injuries.
Court testimony has indicated that the attacks were gang-related.
One man, Curtis Wayne Newby, 18, remains at large.
