Police have a charged a woman with failing to supervise two small children who wandered more than a mile from the home where she was watching them yesteday.
Michelle Lynn Devine, 19, was watching her three-year-old son and the five-year-old daughter of a family member Thursday when they left the home in the 2600 block of Holland Road.
The two children and a puppy walked over a mile through the woods to a warehouse on Kenyon Road, where they were found safe by a person walking by, according to police.
Police said it was the second time that day the children had left the home. Devine faces two counts of cruelty or injury to children, police said.
