SUFFOLK

A grand jury on Monday returned five felony indictments against a 26-year-old mother who got into a dispute with a neighbor after the two women's children argued while playing.

Nyesha Nicole Valentine originally was charged with attempted malicious wounding, use of a firearm in commission of a felony and child endangerment.

On Monday, the grand jury sent down two additional felony indictments: possession of cocaine with intent to distribute and possession of a firearm while in possession of drugs.

The child endangerment charge was changed by the grand jury to child cruelty.

Police said they found cocaine and guns in Valentine's house on Grayson Court, where she lived with her boyfriend.

Ronnie Demetrius Benton, 31, has been charged with possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, possession of a firearm by a felon and possession of stolen property.

Police are still searching for him.
