It’s an unfortunate fact of life. People are sometimes impolite. The rude-ometer rates the rudeness.

Sheri Wilcox of Virginia Beach was at a local Barnes & Noble with her two young children, who were trying to enjoy story time. Other customers, however, made that rather difficult. Two women who were standing behind the children continued to talk as the kids sat quietly and listened to the storyteller. Another woman answered her cell phone and carried on a quick conversation. It was a distraction to the storyteller, and a bad example for the children.
